If you like bells and whistles, aka Geek Meter in the RED, you want BiglyBT. I personally use the latest version of Transmission along with an up-to-date blocking list. In 2010, Vuze was purchased by Spigot, became proprietary, was parallel named µTorrent, is now considered ADWARE and should be avoided. I have the exact same problem,been happening since a year now, only while downloading torrents (100gb gta5 from epic store caused no issues), have ssd and hdd, 4790k cpu, 16gb ram.NO, this is not the torrenting client you're looking for.

So, what should I do? Live with this horrible problem and hope that the Fall Creators Update will solve it or just reinstall the OS? Only when I download files at high speed (Over 40+Mbps), this problem occurs. One thing I noticed is that, if I normally use the Internet for things like browsing, playing online games the RAM usage remains stable. I know I can just reinstall Windows but it will be a very tedious job. So, if I roll back, it just rolls back to the previous Preview build and I can't go back to a stable version. I updated to my current OS Build from another Insider Preview build. The worst part now is, I can't go back to a stable version of the OS now. I downloaded Battlefield from Origin and same thing happened, ran out of memory. Yesterday, I downloaded a game from Steam which is over 20GB at ~90Mbps and my RAM went straight to 97% usage in just an hour. But it doesn't happen only if I use Torrent client, which I found out yesterday. And yesterday, I found out that QBittorrent also gives the same problem. Before this, I didn't have any RAM Usage problem.

Guys, as it turns out, I think the problem might be with the version of Windows 10 OS I'm using. Or is it a problem with the Windows? Or my Killer E2200 Network adopter is causing this memory leak? I have attached screen shot of the Task Manager and the Resource Manager. But it didn't solve anything.Ĭan anybody tell me what might be the problem here? Is it the torrent client? Vuze and uTorrent? I am skeptical that two different client would cause the same problem. So, I went to registry editor and stopped it. I googled for solutions and found one that Windows NDU was causing problems. But my memory usage was just skyrocketing.

The thing is, I thought uTorrent is consuming the RAM but to my surprise, Task Manager was showing that uTorrent was using only 40-60MB of RAM. Then, I have the use the good old restart button of the chassis to start the computer again. After about 1-2hrs later, Windows Task Manager will show memory usage around 80-85% and if I continue running, it gradually becomes 99% and the system becomes unstable and stops responding. But if I start downloading torrent (small or big file doesn't matter), the RAM memory gets increased gradually. After a fresh reboot, the computer uses about 34-40% memory while idle (no application, games running. Recently I noticed abnormal memory usage, not by the torrent client but probably Windows. One is Vuze and the other one is uTorrent. 1x 256GB SATA SSD and 1x WD Green 2TB backup drive.
My PC is running a Core i5 4690K with 8GB DDR3 RAM. My old PC is currently running Windows 10 Education Insider Preview Build 16278.rs3_release.170825-1441. I'm facing a problem recently regarding RAM.
